About ERP and the Project

Energy Resilience Partners, LLC (ERP) is a tribally led SBA 8(a) federal contractor advancing energy resilience and mission assurance. ERP is deploying a project team for the Fort Buchanan installation-level microgrid in Puerto Rico. The work includes diesel generation, medium-voltage distribution, microgrid controls, protective relaying, fuel infrastructure, fiber communications, optional BESS, integration of existing renewable generation, and full system commissioning.

Position Summary

Provide field-level safety surveillance and documentation across civil, electrical, generator, fuel, controls, and telecom work. This role extends the SSHO's reach across multiple work fronts and shifts but does not independently satisfy the SSHO requirement unless the individual is separately accepted as a qualified alternate.

What You Will Do

  • Perform work-area observations, document hazards and corrective actions, and verify AHA controls before and during work.
  • Support orientations, toolbox talks, permits, hot work, confined-space, excavation, fall-protection, LOTO, and electrical-safety controls.
  • Track training, inspections, near misses, incidents, environmental/safety interfaces, and daily report inputs.
  • Monitor subcontractors and immediately elevate unsafe conditions to the SSHO and field leadership.
  • Support night, weekend, outage, testing, or commissioning shifts as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of construction safety experience in industrial, power, utility, or federal work.
  • OSHA 30 Construction and current First Aid/CPR/AED.
  • Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1, AHAs, hazard controls, permits, and incident documentation.
  • Ability to work full-time in Puerto Rico, wear required PPE, traverse active construction areas, and obtain installation access.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CHST, STS-C, ASP, electrical safety/NFPA 70E, competent-person, or Spanish-language safety training credentials.
  • Experience supporting multiple shifts or medium-voltage energization and commissioning.

Field, Travel and Employment Conditions

  • This is a contingent opportunity dependent on contract award/NTP, project funding, final staffing authorization, Government acceptance when required, and successful installation-access processing.
  • When on site, work may involve tropical heat and humidity, rain, uneven terrain, stairs/ladders, construction noise, required PPE, and extended, weekend, outage, emergency, or alternate-shift hours.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States, follow drug-free workplace and conduct requirements, and protect FCI/CUI using only authorized systems and procedures.
  • ERP encourages applications from qualified Native American, Puerto Rican, veteran, military-spouse, disabled, and local candidates. ERP provides equal employment opportunity consistent with applicable law.

Application Materials

  • Resume showing month/year dates, employer, role, project scope/value, client, and personal responsibilities.
  • Copies of required current licenses/certifications with expiration dates.
  • Comparable-project list and references where requested, Puerto Rico availability, earliest mobilization date, and requested employment/consulting arrangement.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
