About ERP and the Project
Energy Resilience Partners, LLC (ERP) is a tribally led federal energy-resilience contractor building the contingent team for the USAG Ansbach - Storck Barracks Smart Microgrid in Bavaria, Germany. The 730-day project integrates two 1 MW diesel generators, 2 MW / 4 MWh battery energy storage, photovoltaic generation, 20 kV medium-voltage distribution, fuel systems, protection, SCADA/microgrid controls, fiber communications, an underground interconnection corridor and full testing, training and commissioning.
Position Summary
Integrates PV array/inverter/BOS and BESS/PCS/transformer/fire/control systems into the 20 kV microgrid and acceptance basis.
What You Will Do
- Produce or review coordinated calculations, drawings, specifications, studies, interface documents, equipment data, and record designs.
- Integrate U.S. contract criteria with German/EU code, permit, grid, supplier, constructability, safety, quality, and commissioning requirements.
- Resolve comments, RFIs, clashes, substitutions, and field conditions through controlled technical decisions and change processes.
- Support procurement evaluations, FAT, field installation, testing, energization, host-nation acceptance, and turnover.
- Use only appropriately licensed/authorized professionals for sealed, stamped, or host-nation-regulated work.
Minimum Qualifications
- Accredited engineering degree or equivalent and directly related experience at the CAM-mapped level.
- Demonstrated discipline design, technical review, construction support, and commissioning capability.
- Ability to satisfy Germany/local professional, work-status, site-access, and language requirements assigned to the role.
Preferred Qualifications
PE/Chartered/German-recognized credential; federal design-build; DIN/VDE/grid; microgrid/BESS/PV/generation experience.
Germany Work Authorization, Location and Access
- Selection remains subject to contract qualifications, installation access, employer-of-record and data/system permissions.
- Remote outside Germany or approved Germany-local/accredited/short-term work status for required site visits.
- Employer/engagement source must match the approved ERP staffing plan, subcontract chain, independence rules and German employment/work-status requirements.
- No field work may begin until required Government personnel approval, installation access/badging, safety orientation, role designation/appointment, system/data permissions and work-front release are complete.
Field, Travel and Employment Conditions
- Work arrangement: REMOTE/HYBRID - Germany attendance is mandatory at defined milestones; minimum presence: Remote engineering with site validation, FAT, installation, and commissioning support.
- Project-based and contingent upon award/NTP, funding, final staffing authorization, qualification verification, Government approval where applicable, employer-of-record completion and installation access.
- Must support approved work hours, outages, testing windows, alternate shifts, weekends or German holidays when the schedule and lawful working-time controls require.
- Must comply with ERP/prime direction, EM 385-1-1, German safety and labor requirements, quality controls, CUI/FCI and photography/device restrictions, accurate timekeeping and project conduct rules.
