About ERP and the Project
Energy Resilience Partners, LLC (ERP) is a tribally led federal energy-resilience contractor building the contingent team for the USAG Ansbach - Storck Barracks Smart Microgrid in Bavaria, Germany. The 730-day project integrates two 1 MW diesel generators, 2 MW / 4 MWh battery energy storage, photovoltaic generation, 20 kV medium-voltage distribution, fuel systems, protection, SCADA/microgrid controls, fiber communications, an underground interconnection corridor and full testing, training and commissioning.
Position Summary
Validates Germany/EU suppliers, technical and commercial assumptions, lead times, manufacturing capacity, local service, warranties, and recovery options.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute compliant sourcing, RFQ, evaluation, negotiation, award, expediting, shipping, receiving, change, warranty, and closeout controls.
- Validate scope, origin, certification, capacity, lead time, price validity, service, warranty, training, and documentation for critical suppliers.
- Coordinate technical reviews, flowdowns, insurance/bonding, cybersecurity, quality, safety, customs, dangerous-goods, and site delivery requirements.
- Maintain auditable commercial files and immediately escalate cost, schedule, supplier, logistics, or compliance risk.
- Protect long-lead milestones for BESS, generators, switchgear, transformers, controls, communications, and specialty equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Relevant procurement, contracts, logistics, supply-chain, engineering, or commercial experience at the mapped level.
- Strong negotiation, documentation, schedule, supplier, and cross-border logistics capability.
- Working knowledge of federal flowdowns and Germany/EU supplier/logistics requirements appropriate to the role.
- German-language capability and Germany-local credential/practice knowledge appropriate to the duties; English required for Government-facing functions.
Preferred Qualifications
CPSM/CPCM/CFCM; ERP/procurement systems; Germany/EU sourcing, customs, ADR/IATA/IMDG, or FAT experience.
Germany Work Authorization, Location and Access
- Candidate must possess unrestricted EU/EEA/Swiss labor-market access or other valid German work authorization before starting.
- Germany-local/EU-authorized employment or compliant local subcontracting; validate payroll, wage, time, insurance, trade, and posting obligations.
- Employer/engagement source must match the approved ERP staffing plan, subcontract chain, independence rules and German employment/work-status requirements.
- No field work may begin until required Government personnel approval, installation access/badging, safety orientation, role designation/appointment, system/data permissions and work-front release are complete.
Field, Travel and Employment Conditions
- Work arrangement: GERMANY-BASED HYBRID; minimum presence: Germany resident; Munich PMO, supplier sites, FAT locations, and site.
- Project-based and contingent upon award/NTP, funding, final staffing authorization, qualification verification, Government approval where applicable, employer-of-record completion and installation access.
- Must support approved work hours, outages, testing windows, alternate shifts, weekends or German holidays when the schedule and lawful working-time controls require.
- Must comply with ERP/prime direction, EM 385-1-1, German safety and labor requirements, quality controls, CUI/FCI and photography/device restrictions, accurate timekeeping and project conduct rules.
