About ERP and the Project

Energy Resilience Partners, LLC (ERP) is a tribally led federal energy-resilience contractor building the contingent team for the USAG Ansbach - Storck Barracks Smart Microgrid in Bavaria, Germany. The 730-day project integrates two 1 MW diesel generators, 2 MW / 4 MWh battery energy storage, photovoltaic generation, 20 kV medium-voltage distribution, fuel systems, protection, SCADA/microgrid controls, fiber communications, an underground interconnection corridor and full testing, training and commissioning.

Position Summary

Perform the electrical technical work required by the independent commissioning firm for generation, distribution, protection, BESS/PV integration and microgrid controls.

What You Will Do

  • Review electrical submittals, one-lines, studies, sequences, test procedures and acceptance criteria.
  • Inspect, test and calibrate electrical distribution and generation equipment, systems and devices.
  • Lead or witness pre-functional checks, functional performance tests, integrated systems tests and retesting.
  • Document objective results, deficiencies, corrective actions and final readiness for the CxC and COR.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Engineering technician with at least five years of experience inspecting, testing and calibrating electrical distribution and generation equipment, systems and devices.
  • Demonstrated NETA ATS, relay, generator, switchgear, transformer and microgrid test experience.
  • Ability to travel to Germany and work at energized-system test windows under approved safety controls.

Preferred Qualifications

NETA certification; IEC/DIN/VDE experience; IEEE 2030.8 microgrid-controller testing.

Germany Work Authorization, Location and Access

  • Selection remains subject to contract qualifications, installation access, employer-of-record and data/system permissions.
  • Lawful Germany work authorization/status and installation access are required before in-country duties.
  • Must be assigned through the independent first-tier commissioning firm unless the Contracting Officer approves another compliant structure.
  • No field work may begin until required Government personnel approval, installation access/badging, safety orientation, role designation/appointment, system/data permissions and work-front release are complete.

Field, Travel and Employment Conditions

  • Work arrangement: HYBRID TO EXTENDED ONSITE during startup, testing and acceptance; minimum presence: Remote procedure review; FAT and Storck Barracks presence for inspection, testing, calibration, FPT and IST.
  • Project-based and contingent upon award/NTP, funding, final staffing authorization, qualification verification, Government approval where applicable, employer-of-record completion and installation access.
  • Must support approved work hours, outages, testing windows, alternate shifts, weekends or German holidays when the schedule and lawful working-time controls require.
  • Must comply with ERP/prime direction, EM 385-1-1, German safety and labor requirements, quality controls, CUI/FCI and photography/device restrictions, accurate timekeeping and project conduct rules.
